Bah Humbug

Christmas decorations have been in the shops since the start of September, are you feeling jolly and festive about this?

Being continually surrounded by plastic Santas ho ho hoing does get rather tedious and annoying you must admit.
The build up to Christmas can be enjoyable and it is nice to have a festive feel, but preparing for a holiday 6 months in advance is rather bizzare. What are people going to do next? Take their summer holiday in Decmeber? Even employees from stores are embarrassed about this charade. Don’t we all wonder what those men who sit in their office and control everything are thinking; maybe they secretly work for Santa and are trying to lighten the load.
From the end of August stores have had messages like ‘buy early for Christmas’ on their receipts. Christmas should be a breath of fresh air and enjoyable! It shouldn’t be a chore and definitely shouldn’t make you feel swamped. Everyone will turn into Christmas puddings.
I’m sure the general public believe this to be ludicrous as why would you want to be reminded about becoming broke months in advance. If this continues, not only will people turn into crimbo puds but they’ll be scrooges as well!
I was even more shocked to see stores selling calenders and then to be told they were selling like hot cakes. I know it’s good to be this prepared but are people taking it a little far?
