Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Us!
Shiver me timbers! AVAST YE! Clamber up Jacobs’ Ladder, all aboard the Good Ship Bob Smith, destination…umm the canteen?
Walking into the 6th form centre at break on Friday October the 6th you could’ve been mistaken as to walking onto the set of the third Pirates of the Caribbean film. Pirates. Left to right, everywhere I looked I saw at least one swashbuckling pirate, including the one and only Jack Sparrow, I actually had to look twice to believe it!
But Alas! They weren’t swashbuckling for long, oh no! Due to the dangers of weaponry in this day in age, the pirates were stripped of their plastic, cardboard and even foam swords much to the disgust of one shipmate, quoted as saying ‘ Arrrg tis a disgrace!’ The reasoning’s from the captains on the Good Ship Bob Smith was that the possibility of an accident had to be ruled out and this ‘Sword Amnesty’ was the only way to certify that.
The bewilderment of the pirates longing for their weaponry back didn’t last long as the ‘Ahoys’ and ‘Arrrgs’ could be heard loud and clear throughout the day.
As the bells rang out for the end of what turned out to be an eventful but fun day out on the ocean waves the Good Ship Bob Smith sailed off towards home leaving all the crew to walk off through Harborough. Seeing a parade of pirates walking down Burnmill Road was a sight and a half I can tell you that!

great day i hav got to say and i think we should do it again in a different theme even if the pirate day was so awsum that we should do that again. aparently people say i look best as a pirate YO HO YO HO A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME!!!!!
